France to allow exchange betting | |
According to reports in eGaming Review, French authorities agreed to allow betting exchange Betfair on the French market after the market would be openened up in 2010. The green light for exchange betting would only apply to sports, as betting on horseracing would only be possible through the pari-mutuel model, according to the draft law. The betting exchange company Betfair, which owns US racing channel TVG, was also in the news this week regarding a possible floatation. With the improving stock market conditions, it is believed that more online gaming companies will seek to go public. |
