THE LONGINES WORLD’S BEST RACEHORSE RANKINGS

The official listing of the world’s best racehorses

(For 3yos and upwards which raced between 1st January and 7^th July 2024)

 

Following their efforts at Royal Ascot, AUGUSTE RODIN (IRE) [122] and ROSALLION (IRE) [122] have joined the Top Five in the fifth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2024.

 

 

 

 

Auguste Rodin earned his rating when he won the Prince Of Wales's Stakes (G1) by three-quarters of a length over ZARAKEM (FR) [120]. Meanwhile, Rosallion also sits in the co-fourth position following his victory in the St James's Palace Stakes (G1), which he won by a neck over HENRY LONGFELLOW (IRE) [121]. Rosallion came into the race off of a victory in the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas (G1).

 

Several other winners during Royal Ascot also feature in this month’s rankings. CHARYN (IRE) [120] finds himself ranked after winning the Queen Anne Stakes (G1) by 2 ¼ lengths, while KYPRIOS (IRE) [120] earned a spot by taking the Gold Cup (G1) by a length.

 

Elsewhere, BLOW THE HORN (JPN) [121] impressed in Japan when he won the Takarazuka Kinen (G1) by two lengths, and CALIFORNIA SPANGLE (IRE) [120] improved his rating following a narrow defeat in the Premier Cup (G3) in Hong Kong.
