Exchange betting launched in betting shop

A new chain of betting shops will be launched in the UK, which will install computer terminals with direct access to an exchange betting website. It will be the first bookmaker shop with facilities for bettors to bet on horses to lose.

Visitors of the betting shops will be hooked up to a simplified version of Irish betting exchange website Betdaq. The betting shops will take a cut of profits made on the exchange terminals. Visitors will also be offered the possibility to bet in the tote and at fixed-odds set by the bookmaker.
