GOLIATH (GER) [125] is the second-highest rated horse in the sixth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2024 following his impressive performance in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes (G1).

Goliath easily claimed the King George to join the rankings and receive his rating of 125. He pulled away to win by 2 ¼ lengths over Bluestocking, while REBEL’S ROMANCE (IRE) [123] was 3 ¼ lengths farther back in third.
Meanwhile, a number of horses improved their ratings over the course of the last month. AUDIENCE (GB) [122] raised his rating to 122 from 120 after taking the HKJC World Pool Lennox Stakes (G2) by four lengths. Earlier this year, he won the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes (G1). Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes (G1) hero NOTABLE SPEECH (GB) [122] improved his rating to 122 from 121 after winning the Qatar Sussex Stakes (G1) by 1 ½ lengths, and globetrotting ROMANTIC WARRIOR (IRE) [122] saw his rating rise to 122 from 121 after going to Japan and taking the Yasuda Kinen (G1) by a half-length.
Elsewhere, DORNOCH (USA) [121] won the NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes (G1) by 1 ¼ lengths to join the rankings. He came into the race off of a half-length victory in the Belmont Stakes (G1). FIERCENESS (USA) [121] is also rated at 121 after raising his rating from 120 by taking the Jim Dandy Stakes presented by Mohegan Sun (G2) by a length. Earlier this season, he won the Curlin Florida Derby presented by Hill 'n' Dale Farms at Xalapa (G1).
Additionally, THORPEDO ANNA (USA) [120] has joined the rankings after winning the Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) by 4 ½ lengths. Her other top-level victories this year include the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) and DK Horse Acorn Stakes (G1).
