US prosecution of e-purse supplier to online gaming sector

The prosecution by US authorities of the electronic purse company Neteller for taking online gambling transactions has moved to the next phase. The founder of the company had to appear before a New York court and pleaded guilty for illegal transfer of money to online gaming firms.

The founder also made an agreement with the authorities to a forfeit of US$100m and to cooperate fully with the US authorities. He could be sent to prison for up to five years.
