US gambling states to look at geo-location software

At its annual summer meeting, the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) underlined the states' exclusive right on gambling regulation, also in the age of Internet.

The NCLGS investigated in particular the various options to control Internet gambling and called upon industry to further improve geo-location and age proof systems.

NCLGS has a consultation process on Internet gambling and invites interested parties to comment before 1 September.
