Big Events: Today & Tomorrow
Asian Racing Conference - The Hong Kong Jockey Club
Big Events: Today & Tomorrow
Every country has its signature racing events. Some of these have centuries of history while others are more contemporary developments.
What is at play when racing decides to create a new "big event" or to further develop an event once it has been successfully established?
Leaders in the field from the USA, Japan, UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Dubai, Australia and Singapore will reveal their aspirations, plans and experiences:
What do they want to achieve.
What are the strategies that have been developed to build the event and achieve these objectives.
How important is marketing and how to do it successfully.
What are the chief logistical challenges and constraints.
How important is international participation.
To what extent is government support important.
Positioning of the event in relation to other major racing events.
