New racing law proposed in Australian New South Wales
The NSW Parliament is dicussing a proposal for law, the Thoroughbred Racing Amendment Bill 2008.
The bill proposes:
the creation of a new independent Racing Board, whose members would be selected on merit
the introduction of a more flexible tote return to racing
the ban on racing clubs to sell land
to impose industry approval for any broadcasting agreement
