Trend of gaming taxation in Australia is upward | |
The trend in taxation is upward and 2006 state elections in South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria will have little impact on gambling policies. These are some of the findings of a review of gaming lawyers Lander & Rogers. Among the issues ahead for 2006 are a review of race and sports bookmaking legislation; a review of the Interactive Gambling Code of Practice and; a review of independent codes of practice by South Australia’s Independent Gaming Authority. A full review of regulatory developments in 2005 and issues for 2006 can be found at: http://www.landers.com.au/practice/comm/aru_feb2006.pdf |
