VIA SISTINA (IRE) [127] is now the highest rated filly/mare in the world, the co-highest rated turf horse in the world, and the co-second highest rated horse in the world after dominating in Australia. She won both the TAB Turnbull Stakes (G1) and Ladbrokes Cox Plate (G1) in October before adding the TAB Champions Stakes (G1) to her list of accomplishments in November. Via Sistina’s other victories this year include the Ranvet Stakes (G1) and Winx Stakes (G1). Meanwhile, SIERRA LEONE (USA) [125] finds himself in the co-fourth position after he improved his rating to 125 from 120 with his victory in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). He won the race by 1 ½ lengths over FIERCENESS (USA) [123], while FOREVER YOUNG (JPN) [120] was third. Earlier this year, Sierra Leone won the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G1), and he also finished second by a nose in the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1). Also in the Top 10 is CHARYN (IRE) [124], who improved his rating to 124 from 122 when he won the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Sponsored by Qipco) (G1) by 2 lengths over FACTEUR CHEVAL (IRE) [120]. Charyn’s other top-level victories this year include the Queen Anne Stakes (G1) and Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Jacques le Marois (G1). Additionally, ANMAAT (IRE) [122], DO DEUCE (JPN) [122], and ROUSHAM PARK (JPN) [122] all join the rankings on a rating of 122. Anmaat won the Qipco Champion Stakes (G1) by a half-length over CALANDAGAN (IRE) [125], and Do Deuce took the Tenno Sho (Autumn) (G1). Rousham Park finished second by a neck behind REBEL’S ROMANCE (IRE) [123] in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1).
