Slight decline in US wagering

According to the NTRA, the wagering on US horseracing declined slightly, by $7 million in Q3 2006 compared to Q3 2005, while the total prize money increased by 2.25% to $337,888,371 and the total amount of race days decreased by 1.8% to 1,959.
